In Flight (and I mean that literally)

I'm on my way to Japan. As in, right now. Just took this shot, uploading from the plane. JAL's using Boeing Connexion, and wouldn't you know, they're cancelling the service so everybody gets to use it free until it's gone.

I'll have many more photos coming soon - our itinerary has us going to Kyoto, then Ibaraki, then Tokyo. So you know I'm going to be wearing out my camera.

About This Blog

This is increasingly not a blog about Alphabet City, New York. I used to live in the East Village and work on Avenue B, but I no longer do. Why don't I change the name if I'm writing about Japan and video games and guitars? Because New Yorkers are well-rounded people with varied interests, and mine have gone increasingly off the rails over the years. And I don't feel like changing the name. I do still write about New York City sometimes.
