hahahahahaha! "Hole in the Wall" on Fox

There doesn't seem to be any mention whatsoever of this yet on Fox's site, but the current rage of importing wacky shows from Japan to the US is obviously continuing at a feverish pace. The latest? "Hole in the Wall" on Fox, and it might just be hilarious.

You don't see it in that video, but half the humor comes in seeing the seemingly impossible shapes unveiled just before they start moving down the stage. Here's some of the Japanese version:

Some of those dudes are pretty flexible.

Coming this fall, apparently. As long as they copy it exactly and don't screw it up, this one might be fun to watch.

About This Blog

This is increasingly not a blog about Alphabet City, New York. I used to live in the East Village and work on Avenue B, but I no longer do. Why don't I change the name if I'm writing about Japan and video games and guitars? Because New Yorkers are well-rounded people with varied interests, and mine have gone increasingly off the rails over the years. And I don't feel like changing the name. I do still write about New York City sometimes.
